We are very proud of our safety record at this event. All activities have been risk assessed. Every precaution has been taken by the Mock Mayor Committee to ensure the safety of the general public at all times.
To help us have an fun, incident free day please read the following guidelines.

- Please make sure all children are accompanied at all times by an adult due to the obvious hazards of the river, surrounding area and the main road.
- No member of the public is allowed in the river at any time. Although the river is specially dammed for the event and checked for debris on the river bed there are no guarantees that conditions could change during the days events. The Mayoral ducking is fully supervised and for the Committee and Elected members only.
- If an incident should occur please report it immediately to a Mock Mayor representative (wearing embroidered polo shirts) or a member of the Black Prince staff so appropriate action may be taken.
